About Your Therapist
Hi, my name is Natalie Bullock!
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (#7751) and the founder of Phoenix Rising Counseling. I graduated with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mississippi State University in 2018. I am also a proud alumna of Louisiana Tech University where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology. I have focused my counseling experience working with diverse populations, ranging from children to older adults.

I have training in Grief, Crisis, Substance Abuse, and Art Therapy. I have worked with individuals varying in problems such as anxiety, depression, procrastination, sexual abuse, anger, life transitions, and relationships. I utilize Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, and Mindfulness approaches in order to treat each client with unconditional positive regard, empathy, and respect. I also have training working with persons in the LGBTQ+ community and work to advocate and educate others on how to be an ally through Safe Zone Training. I strive to help those in need find refuge and a sense of well-being through my services.

In my spare time, I adore baking and decorating cakes, listening to podcasts, playing board games with friends, and spending time with my loved ones.
How Phoenix Rising Counseling came to be
Phoenix Rising Counseling is named after my dear friend Phoenix, who passed away in 2018 from suicide. I speak often of Phoenix and encourage all I encounter to seek help and refuge when they need it. Life is hard - life with mental illness is harder. You are not alone. You are important. If you decide to work with me, I hope to provide a place of solace and safety so that you may find lighter days, and rise up from the ashes of difficult life.
